Madelin Marchant

Co-founder

Co-founder of Showtime Performing Arts Corp., Madeline Marchant,  is an accomplished actress, director, choreographer, and theatre educator who began her performance career at age 7 studying classical piano and has appeared on stage, television, commercials, and film. Madelin was recently awarded ARTS EDUCATOR of the DECADE by BroadwayWorld Regional Miami Awards 2020. She has a Master's Degree in Theatre Education from FSU and a BFA in Performance from FIU. She is the Chair for the Jr. Thespian District 4 festival, overseeing and organizing the theatre competition for all public, private, and charter middle school programs. She is also head of the Leadership Council for the Humanity Project and a Board Member for the South Florida Theatre League. She is beginning her 21st year in 2021-2022 as the Theatre Program Director at South Miami Middle School where she began in 2000. 

Melissa Gonzalez

Co-founder

Co-founder of Showtime Performing Arts Corp., Melissa Gonzalez, began studying musical theatre, dance and piano at the age of 5 and was part of the Magnet theatre program at Dillard High School of Performing Arts. She has a background in Musical Theatre and Technical Theatre. Melissa has been actively involved in the theatre community ever since. She was the operations manager for a successful performing arts summer camp in Weston from 1998-2003, overseeing the day to day activities and planning for pre and post production. She has had over 10 years of experience working with children in after-school programs. Earlier in her career, she was involved in film and TV production while interning at Channel 33 and Channel 10 and wrote commercial promos for Y-100. Melissa has been a successful business owner in the area for over 15 years. Her biggest productions to date? Her three daughters and grandson.

Emily María Peña

Director of Operations 

Director of Operations, Emily María Peña, began her career in the theatre at a young age and has been working in the the theatre for the past 10 years. Passionate about performance and community involvement, Emily Peña is committed to the growth and general well-being of Showtime Preforming Arts.

Rebecca Jimenez

Director of Activities

Our Director of Activities, Rebecca Jimenez is an accomplished actress, whose work span from here locally in Miami, to Off-Broadway in New York.  With a passion for education and the arts, Rebecca brings much to the table when wanting to help your children shine in Showtime Performing Arts.
